Apres un peu de recherche pour trouver l'hotel ( ne pas se diriger vers Monteriggioni, le site touristique, mais vers Castellina Scalo). Un acceuil chaleureux du patron, dans un francais impeccable,sachant que l'une des chambres est bruyante ( nous en avons reserve 3) , il nous propose des chambres dans une annexe de l'hotel a +/- 500m dans le village. Calme , mais, le matin, nous devons nous rendre a l'hotel pour le petit dej. Cela dit: le patron est super sympa. le prix est un peu cher, compare aux autres hotels de notre circuit en Toscane.Bien place pour visiter San Gimignano et Sienne. Pas de parking prive.

The manager, Remo, who speaks English really well, was very good. He willingly helped with maps and local suggestions. The older main hotel is on a very busy and noisy road about 10 minutes drive from the real town of Monteriggioni, but we were offered modern rooms in the annex, about 300m away. They were very comfortable but not sound proof. (eg snoring, toilet noises).

The hotel is located at a noisy crossing, which is disturbing for guests who like to sleep with windows open. It may also spoil the pleasure of sitting in the nice garden. It would have helped us if the address had mentioned the village of Castellina Scalo, rather than Monteriggioni.

I enjoyed my stay and am very satisfied of the service provided. The garden is a very nice asset for the property. I would recommand this site to travelers who have a car.

Die zimmer des hotels liegen zum teil nicht im hauptgebaude sondern 150 m den berg hoch (wunderbar ruhig). Der gastwirt ist aber immer gerne bereit einen dort mit dem auto hin zubringen. das hotel liegt 20 min mit dem Zug von Siena entfernt (gesamte Reisezeit bis siena ca 40-50min). Der Zug fahrt alle halbe stunde bis abends um 21:30. Ein Taxi kostet 20 Euro und muss von Siena aus nach Monteriggioni geordert werden, was der sehr freundliche Gastwirt aber gerne fur einen organisiert. Fahrrader kann man leihen, allerdings haben sie kein Licht und es wird abgeraten sie im Dunkeln zu nutzen, da die Autofahrer nicht mit Radern rechnen. Einen Leihwagen kann man auch bekommen, wenn man mochte. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und um Hilfe ausserordentlich bemuht! Auf englisch kann man sich sehr gut verstandigen. Vorsicht die Via cassia nord gibt es auch in siena und die taxifahrer in siena glauben fast nicht, dass sie nach monteriggioni fahren sollen ;-). Fur eine schone Zeit in der Toskana ein nettes kleines italienisches hotel, fur eine Geschaftsreise nach Siena ein bisschen zu abgelegen. Zum Fruhstuck gabs mehr als ich erwartet hatte sogar frischen Saft und Joghurt.

Friendly reception. The house/room
needs some extra decoration in order to make it more agreable. The
airco was very welcome, because of the heat. Breakfast buffet was
OK. We believe the price was too high as against the facilities and
decoration of the house.

A warm welcome at this small but
comfortable hotel, which suited us well during our week-long walk
between Tuscan hill towns. Quite a hike from Monteriggioni itself
along a busy road, though we later discovered an alternative route
near the river.

Our stay at the Euro Club was
very good, Remo is an excellent host and speaks perfect English.
This place is situated centrally for touring Tuscany and has easy
access to the Autostrada.

Everything was very good and
basically what we expected. As ever the thing that made it
